Surgery :/

I apologize that its been a while since I've updated. Everything happened so fast I've kind of been in shock.

So the end of last month I went in for another x-ray hoping it would show signs of almost being fully healed only to find that the bones had completely seperated again. I had been noticing some pain again at that time, but I thought it was muscular.
But no in was the bone, so I ended up having to have surgery afterall!

It happened so fast it seems like a blur now, next thing I knew I was in the hospital recovering from a whole new pain and realizing that I still had quite a journey ahead of me.

My eternal internal cast. A plate and some screws. Those little hash marks are the...

 staples.

My early Halloween costume - Sally from Nightmare before Christmas (heheh)

It was a rough first week, but I had so much support and love that I made it through.
Then the staples came out, which was not a fun experience but much more comfortable afterwards, and then some surgical tape was glued on for good measure, turning my Sally scar into a pretty little rainbow.

Another x-ray was taken its looking good I just have to keep being careful while the bone finally mends together. No bike riding or heavy lifting for a few months. ;)

I love you all and am so grateful to your support through this hard time.
Thank you

Hanging up the Badge

Hello to all my care and support.
It is with a lot of thought and prayer that I have come to the decision that my mission ends here.

I have been thinking about it a lot and it feels right that this is the choice I am to make in my journey. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your care and support throughout this past year and please know that I will continue to be grateful to your support as I start to move forward with my life.

I loved my time serving, I love missionary work and missionaries, and I highly support anyone who acts on that  feeling 'that it is right time for me to serve,' just as I have. What I've learned the most is to do the things that help you gain a relationship with your Father in Heaven. He loves you and he can help you at those times when no other earthly person or thing can. He helps you grow and he can help you change.

I know my experiences in the past year have changed my life forever and I am so grateful to all the moments, even the bad ones because they have taught me so much. I look back through these old posts on my blog with a thankful heart to the experiences I had, to learn about myself, people, and my Heavenly Father's love for me and for you. I invite you to look back through them at this time as well with the reminder in your heart that "no moment is wasted."

Love you, Love you, Love you!

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy has been going well. Some days I come home feeling worse other days I come home feeling better. Today was a feeling better kind of day.  Its a slow process but I'm healing little by little and just trying to enjoy each day as it comes.

Thank you always for you care and support.
