BYU and MTC

Well, it has begun,  Nora spent last night at the Pattersons, you can tell from the BYU photo that they are really good friends.  Later in the day they dropped Nora off at the MTC, where the caption for the photo read.  and so it begins the adventure - mission - quest - thing.

There she goes.

My Little Starburst

Musical Candy

It makes me laugh how much the iPod shuffle looks like a piece of candy that was just left in my speaker case.  ;)

Here's to many adventures together Sister Shuffle, I like having music in my life so I know you'll play a very important role in this journey. heheh ;)

About to...

On a big adventure.

Sling Free

My x-ray went very well yesterday. My arm has healed! With only a few days left I will be getting a drop-kick physical therapy lesson on Monday to learn a few exercises I'll need to do to help hopefully get full mobility back in my arm.  Its doing very well though as I sit her typing I'm actually using both hands!(something I haven't been able to do the last few weeks) Lots of other little two handed jobs have started slowly coming back. Its nice to have some help from my left arm again. :)

Now off too pack pack pack, visit, visit, visit, one more last minute shopping trip, Oh and breathe breathe breathe. :)

A Missionary's Nightmare

I took a tumble and fractured my left elbow this week.
With only three weeks left before I enter the MTC I was very grateful to have been blessed that its small enough I won't be needing a cast. Just two weeks in a sling and lots of rest.

I know being postponed wouldn't be a bad thing, but its still something nobody wishes for.

I go in the 19th for another x-ray to make sure its all healed and as long as it has(which it should), then less than a week later I'll be entering the MTC. Wow! Time is flying~

A nice mess of make-up

Some old friends mixed in with some new friends.
I just need to find a really good tinted moisturizer still...

SLC South

Here's a little info about my mission area.

Its official website:
http://www.utahslcsouthmission.com/wp/

Which offers some amazing messages by the mission president, as well as pictures of arriving and departing missionaries.

In just a month and a half you'll see me in one of those arriving photos.
How crazy to think about!

And here's a map of the area Salt Lake City South covers(the light gray area)
As you can see I won't be serving in Salt Lake City itself, but juuust south of it. heh

I have been told to get ready for snow, I've never lived in snow, maybe visited it 3 times in my whole life.
I have no idea how to really get ready for snow but I'm excited to learn about it. :)

The most shocking news about this mission is that it has a very high baptism rate. I'm gonna be workin' hard. :)

Salt Lake City South Mission,
starting April 25th I put myself in your hands for 18 months,
in that time I hope we will become great friends. ♥
